Advent Update
The Christmas season has begun with a festive, snowy display from Mother Nature, and St. Francis' Episcopal Church has matched this joyous spirit by celebrating Christ's birth not only in December but everyday!
The Christmas Eve service will take place at 7 p.m., and here are a few other updates from DeAnne Swiercz, Senior Warden, reflecting Advent happenings and looking forward to 2025:
"Pastor Tom and Sandy will be performing with the Gaylord Symphony and Chorus this Saturday December 14th at 7 pm at the Gornick Auditorium located in the Gaylord High School. Sandy will also be performing with the Alpine Bell Choir playing bells in the entryway as people arrive.
And we are excited and honored to have Nurya Love Parish, Canon for the Northern Collaborative, celebrating with us on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Our SF Family is truly blessed and so thankful for Pastor Tom, all of our Supply Clergy, Worship Leaders and Worship/Music Committee Members who continue to lead us in worship and prayer.
Also, the Rev. Brian Chace has offered to celebrate with us on the 4th Sundays in January, February and March.
Finally, we have two Vestry Members, Susanne Mueller and Pat Kucharek, that will have their terms end in 2024. We are hoping and praying that we have two SF Family Members that would be willing to fill those open positions. If you feel called to serve in this ministry, please reach out to myself or one of the other Vestry Members."
Merry Christmas, everyone!
